Why I Created Silver Nurture
Hi,
I come from a long lineage of jewellers with a legacy that dates back to 1915. Over the past decade, I’ve dedicated myself to our family business, learning the intricacies of silver and its craft. However, my journey towards creating Silver Nurture began in an entirely different and deeply personal way.
A couple of years ago, a close friend of mine became a mother. When we spoke months after her delivery, she opened up about something I had not seen coming. Alongside the joy of welcoming her child, she had experienced physical pain and emotional stress that came with breastfeeding. That’s when she introduced me to silver nursing cups, a modern solution based on ancient wisdom that had helped her find relief.
As I learned more, I realised that despite their benefits, silver nipple cups weren’t readily available to mothers in India.
Across the globe, new mothers are often flooded with advice, but very few conversations truly prepare them for the raw, painful realities of nursing.
The conversation we want to change
I saw an opportunity to combine my deep understanding of silver craftsmanship with a product designed to support mothers during this important chapter of their lives. This became the foundation of Silver Nurture. My vision was to create a nursing cup that was thoughtfully designed and crafted from 990 silver. Every detail was considered with intention, from the quality of the material to the comfort and functionality of the design.
The process of creating Silver Nurture has been enriched by the mothers who trusted us with their experience. Their feedback, stories and insights helped us refine every aspect of the design. Their trust turned this product into what it is today—a caring companion for mothers navigating the highs and lows of breastfeeding.
