Rinse the cups under tap water, then dry them with a soft cotton cloth. Because 990 silver is soft, handle the cups carefully and store them clean and dry in the airtight box provided when they are not in use.

Will 990 silver tarnish?

Yes. Pure silver can tarnish naturally as it reacts with sulphur in the air, but it remains safe to use. To remove tarnish, make a paste with baking soda or white tooth-cleaning powder and a little water, rub it gently using your hands or a soft toothbrush, then rinse and dry with a soft cotton cloth.

When should I start using them?

You can begin using the cups a few days before childbirth. During breastfeeding, wear them between feeding sessions and remove them before nursing. They can be used through the breastfeeding journey while your nipples remain sensitive or uncomfortable.
